Doubt
Everyone has doubts. Where is God when bad things happen? Does God hear our prayers? Is there a heaven? How can we know? Often we treat such questions as the enemy of faith. But uncertainty doesn’t mean our belief is lacking. Doubt can be a path to a deeper, richer encounter with God. In Wrestling with Doubt, Finding Faith, we will join author Pastor Adam Hamilton as he discusses some of our most significant sources of doubt and shows how a steady trust in God can emerge from them.

Questions and conundrums like these often go unanswered. Instructors in faith we admire will tell us to just have faith. Sometimes those questions are met with accusations that we do not believe in God. The early mothers and fathers of our faith, early reformers, John Wesley, and all other people of faith have wrestled with these questions. Though they experienced doubt, they pursued the answers to their questions. It was in that quest that they were led to a deeper level of faith and assurance in the goodness of God.
