Cleaning Up Cancer Carnival

a fun, family-friendly way to transform the world

Help transform the world with this community event

Salem is once again partnering with Time in a Bottle for the Cleaning Up Cancer Carnival on Saturday, June 22, 11 AM - 4 PM. Salem not only hosts the event, but we also serve that day to help transform the world. Our Outreach Team is inviting all of us to support this fun day and make a difference. Some examples of the different ways you can help include:

-Donate baked goods for the event

-Donate items/service for the silent auction

-Assist with set up the day before/of the event

-Serve at a game/activity booth (many volunteers still needed for outdoor games!)

-Assist with parking

-Serve as a Salem greeter

-Assist with tear down/clean up after the event

Invite your friends and family! Admission is free. There will be vendors, food, games, a silent auction, music/entertainment, and more! This is a community event, affiliated with the Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival, and designed to be fun and affordable for families. Tickets/wristbands are available for purchase for participation in the various fun activities.

Time in a Bottle is a non-profit organization that provides precious “time” to families battling cancer, undergoing chemotherapy, or any other terminal illness that requires multiple hours away from home and family. They do this by giving five free home cleans from the company, Absolutely Clean. All proceeds go Time in a Bottle for helping families who are battling cancer or other life threatening illnesses.
